TRIED BY FIRE - Part II
“Some Christians have a
little inkling that something may not be right,
but
they have no idea how serious the situation is.”
In Part I of Tried By Fire, one
learns that the works of some Christians will not stand
the test at the judgment seat of Christ. The works will
not pass muster as it were. When tested by the
trial of fire, it will be revealed that their works do
not stand up to the required standards. The Christians
themselves will be saved as through fire, but their
works will be burned up. The highest motive of all
Christians should be to glorify Christ and to do His
will on earth. The trial by fire will reveal if, in
fact, each Christian did or did not live to glorify
Christ and do His will.
Presently, on the one hand, the
Spirit of God through true prophets is calling the body
of Christ to return to the Lord, to follow Him, and
continue His works. Simultaneously, on the other hand,
the spirit of antichrist is infiltrating the Church
with destructive doctrines and false teachers. Most
Christians are at a loss in hearing the true prophets,
and are also at a loss in discerning the destructive
doctrines and the false teachers. Some Christians have
a little inkling that something may not be right, but
they have no idea how serious the situation is. They
are oblivious to what is really going on. If they ever
stop to think about it, they weigh the pros and cons
mentality rather than using discernment. They know that
it's not the occult or satanic worship, and so they
adapt. Others leave one place of error and go find
another place where error may not be so obvious and is
hidden behind what makes people feel good. Truth may
even be preached continually, but all of truth
is not being preached and, therefore, Christians cannot
become mature disciples. All of this hinders glorifying
Christ and doing His will, which will lead to weeping
on the coming Day.
I have for years used the
following example that helps clarify things: If someone
opens the door of your church building and points a
weapon, most Christians know to duck, but if someone
seems to be a friend while hiding a knife, most
Christians are not prepared. Do you know why we shake
hands with our right hand? In the past, people
pretended to reach out a hand of friendship but, in
fact, reached out to stab. The lesson is that many
Christians are not deceived by bold occultic and
satanic forces, but multitudes are being taken in by
the subtle deceptiveness of Satan’s ministers of
righteousness.
I believe the Holy Spirit is
trying to reach all Christians and wake them up. He is
trying to bring restoration, revival, and awakening,
but few are listening. I challenge the few to shout
truth from the house tops and to begin interceding for
the Church with agonizing prayers. I exhort you to give
yourself to the study of the Word with the intention of
sharing truth with others. If you will prepare yourself
through prayer and the study of the Word, the Holy
Spirit will, in His time, create opportunities for
ministry. You will be preparing yourself for the Day
and will help others wake up and get prepared. Glory be
to Jesus Christ!

BIBLICAL APPLICATION:
The coming [of the lawless one, the
antichrist] is through the activity and working of
Satan and will be attended by great power and with all
sorts of [pretended] miracles and signs and delusive
marvels—[all of them] lying wonders—And by
unlimited seduction to evil and with all wicked
deception for those who are perishing (going to
perdition) because they did not welcome the Truth but
refused to love it that they might be saved. 2 Thessalonians 2:9-10 AMP
