DULLNESS OF HEARING
Today’s Truth for Today is
an attempt to reach those who are ready to forsake all
and follow Jesus.
I am presently sending out only a
few things as the Lord leads. I am not being
presumptuous. I am looking for those who believe the
Lord is leading them to seek out more of what He is
saying to and through me. I always want everything I
say or write to be checked out against Scripture under
the direction of the Holy Spirit. I will change if
anyone can show me, by Scripture, that I need to, but
not by their church or denominational doctrines. I am
looking for those with whom I can join in the unity of
the faith. I know that there are some who are not
interested in what I have to say, and there are some
who are only interested if it is convenient, short,
easy, pleasing, and gift wrapped. I don't work in or
belong to that Church!
The present-day Church has been
invaded by dullness of hearing. This is not a new
problem for the people of God. It was addressed as a
problem for the old covenant people of God (see Isaiah
6:9,10). The Lord Jesus Christ, while on earth,
repeatedly emphasized that it was a major hindrance to
hearing the Word of God. The writer of Hebrews listed
it as the reason that Christians had not grown to
maturity, were not teaching the Word, and were still
babes needing milk (Hebrews 5:11-14). It is a major
problem in the present-day Church, and I am giving
warning that Christians had better wake up or
devastation is ahead!
Prior to World War II, the Church
in Germany and many Jews in Europe were given ample
warnings of the things ahead. Few had ears to hear!
Many suffered and died! In Germany, God had a few
faithful ministers who tried to warn the people of God,
but many other ministers had their heads in the sand.
They were happy to keep functioning in their
ministries! Just as in the days of Jeremiah, most of
the Church listened to the “head in the
sand” ministers, rather than to the prophets of
God. Finally, a day came when it was too late!
I hope that we have not passed the
point of no return; I hope that it is not too late to
prepare for the days ahead. Presently, on Saturday
mornings, I am ministering on the spirit of the
Antichrist. This coming Saturday morning, I will do
something for the first time ever in our Saturday
morning meetings. At 8:30 a.m. I will preach. I will
preach about the work of the spirit of the Antichrist
in the present-day Church. I will not tape this
message, but any of those who choose to attend are
welcome to bring their recorders if they so choose. If
you are not able to attend, I am always willing to
spend and be spent. I am available to share what God is
saying to me in person, by phone, by the internet, or
other available means. I am not looking for people with
itching ears or the “proud-of-their-church”
people. I am looking for humble disciples of Jesus with
ears to hear, minds that are teachable, and hearts to
understand. I have dealt with enough fly-by-night
people; I am looking for the real! I am looking for
disciples of Jesus Christ who are ready to take up
their cross and follow Jesus.
The title of our message yesterday
was “Consider Carefully How You Listen.” It
was specific, concise, and straight to the point. It
was a message to wake people up to the necessity of
having ears to hear the truth of Jesus Christ and His
message of the kingdom of God. It was a message to
prepare people to discern the spirit of the Antichrist
that is very much at work in the present-day Christian
Church. This message is on tape and available to those
who are ready to put their hands to the plow after they
quit flirting with the world, being religious, and
playing church.

BIBLICAL APPLICATION:
And some believed the things which
were spoken, and some believed not. And when they
agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that
Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by
Esaias the prophet (Isaiah
6:9,10) unto our fathers,
saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall
hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall
see, and not perceive: For the heart of this people is
waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and
their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with
their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand
with their heart, and should be converted, and I should
heal them. Acts 28:
